Sarton is a new phonographic studio in the Polish market, specialising in recording classical music and jazz. It has been established by Katarzyna Rakowiecka-Rojsza and Alina Ratkowska, lecturers at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, and graduates of the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw Musik-Akademie Basel, and the Gdańsk University of Technology.
The decision to establish a phonographic studio meeting the highest technical standards of musical recording and criteria formulated by the masters of the Polish phonographic school ensued from the experience of the two musicians in the area of musical recording, as well as in organising and promoting artistic events.
In our recordings we use such equipment as the Braunermicrophones, and base on the SADIE, system believed to be the best tool for editing classical music.
The experts we cooperate with in further stages of production include musicologists, translators experienced in working on specialist musical texts, and graphic artists giving each CD its own unique clear touch, yet at the same time appropriately matching the designed publishing series.
